Following a super-playful SS19 collection, Japanese brand Doublet has recently dropped its Fall/Winter collection. Unlike its prior collection, Doublet’s latest offerings are no joke, featuring designs inspired by classic horror movies, with everything from skeletons to creepy clowns. Though the entire range is quite scary, this knit sweater is unlike anything we’ve ever seen.
Designed by Doublet’s Masayuki Uno, the hard-knitted sweater is made from an acrylic and wool blend, and features an intarsia design on the front depicting an upside-down killer clown.
But that’s not the scary part just yet — the sweater can be worn over your head when turned upside down, revealing a nightmarish clown mask. Apart from the frightening design, the sweater also arrives with an intarsia motif on the back reading “Ask Me About My Inside Out”, along with a ribbed neckline and hem, and drop shoulders.
Made in Japan, the interesting sweater, available in black and red colorways, is now available to shop at LA-based retailer H. Lorenzo. Much like the brand’s offerings, the piece comes with a price to match its startling designs, retailing at $909.
Scroll on for a closer look at Doublet’s sweater, if you dare.
